When I pulled up to Megan’s house to take, what was now very late, a Christmas photo session, I was expecting to take pictures for her, her husband, and her daughter. Little did I know… she was expecting!
She was my first session this year. I was so excited to see her again. We’d taken pictures with her family before, and it was great to see them all again. This time we did the photos at their home. When she opened the door, I had a feeling something was a little different.
I didn’t want to ask – we all know you aren’t supposed to ask THAT question! But I knew Megan well enough, that I could comfortably make the assumption that she was pregnant again
Finally, Megan told me that not only was this Christmas photo session a family session, it was a maternity session too!
I wanted to jump for joy! I always get excited to hear my clients’ family is growing! It is such a joyous time, and I’m always giddy at the thought of meeting their little bundle of joy.
That day we took family photos, some of Megan and her husband with her beautiful, tiny belly, and even went outside to take some of her daughter playing on the neighbor’s swings! It was a bit chilly, but worth it for the cute smiles and the fun her little girl had.
